How to test fuel pressure without engine running

I now have a Fuel Pressure Gauge tester. All the instructions I found are on a running engine. How can I test if the engine turns but don't start? That is for a 2001 V70XC without a Fuel Pressure Sensor on the fuel rail but a valve.

Should be the same. The fuel pump runs as soon as you turn the key regardless of whether the engine is turning, igniting or not. Not forever but long enough for normal pressure if the car has been parked long if everything is ok.
