Should have brought snow chains.

Didn't bring snow chains.

Volvo made it third time around but the Saab needed to be emptied first. It turns out both a Saab 9-5 and a Volvo V70 will fit a lot of luggage if you stuff them to the roof but the Volvo is the bigger car inside.

New shifter cable bushes, the difference make them really worth the money !
I used MR2/Celica ones because they were cheaper, fitment is perfect

Tres bien!

Goupil, can you give us the part numbers and source so we can document these please!

Volvo will only sell the entire shift cable at about $150 USD when I last looked into this.

Bought mine here, cheapest I could find with shipping to France
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Celica- ... 2749.l2649

In the US you can get those
https://www.ebay.com/itm/VOLVO-BRASS-SH ... 0730473309
or Snabb
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... escription

I know some people replace them with skate bearings as well (Robert DIY did it in one of his videos). There's also some delrin ones around

Can't seem to find a part number, I guess Volvo consider them part of the shift cable ?

Well, the simple timing belt job turned into everything else that the owner wanted to do do this car! Last night, I got a 19t mounted (thanks to my cousin, who had a nice one on the shelf.... he didn't let it go easily!) and today I will take care of the NA intake manifold and throttle body, then the NA cams. This car is also getting an S90 MAF housing as well as DW200 fuel pump.

I'll make a short build thread after this just to document it. It's nice to be able to do these things to this car that I never got around to in my ownership! It will be a lot of fun once it's running!

I haven’t been happy with the blue iPd spring. I left the stock one for now since it was in good shape.
As for the oil return o ring, I left it alone, but I’ll tell him to keep an eye out for leaks. It should be fine, I replaced it not too long ago.

My neighbor with his $70,000 leased Bimmer hates my IPD Blue spring, too. He has to read my tailgate every morning.
