It is, but it's not done too often since the M56 is more available and an easier swap. The M66 has a few small obstacles to overcome, but nothing too bad. You would need the FWD M66 out of a P1 T5 (C30/S40/V50/C70).

But would the FWD M66 work with AWD? Could i use an M66 from an AWD S60R?

OH, duh... you have an XC. Nevermind... yeah, you would need an M66 AWD from an S60/V70R or a P1 T5 AWD. I was thinking you had an 850 for some reason!
The M66 would be ideal in your case. Well, as far as being the easy swap, M58 would be perfect, but they're not easy to find in the US. Feel free to check out my M56 swap parts thread if you're interested in going that route and ditching the AWD.

Anyway you can help me find a buyer for an auto tranny? Besides the XC and base AWD, i think this auto can fit the FWD models. Not sure. Rear main seal busted but i have the new RMS brand new. I also need help finding buyers for the other V70 parts i have for sale. It seems noone cares about the things imselling on my sale post.

Big stuff is hard to move outside of the local area of course. You need a critical mass of Volvo people like Norman....or Paris...

Have you posted in the classifieds here? I'd post there, on Swedespeed (that classifieds section gets a lot of activity) and local Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.
