That may work. I'd say try to get a little headliner adhesive on there, but the spray is hard to control.

Redo the whole headliner and be done with it. Otherwise you will be coming to patch it over and over as the sagging weight pulls it down.

Well crap. Seller cancelled the order, says not available. But its still up for sale on eBay...

I see an "08 2008 XC90 " trim for sale, guess it won't fit.

It is the same for all Platform 80 cars. P80 = 850 series and first generation 70 series. The first generation 70 series is a restyled 850.

Maybe try the 3M product that is used to hold corner bead on walls. a type of spray adhesive, but unsure how it works on fabric, plus it's usually tinted. it is a light spray glue that has saved me in other applications

Spraying would be difficult... maybe half inch wide double sided tape?

It is common for this piece to explode into pieces upon removal, so keep that in mind if you go the junkyard route. Maybe plan on pulling several before you get one in few enough pieces to be usable with glue. And glued in means likely not coming back out so ...

It's also common for the headliners to separate at this age, as Rick alluded to. Getting the bezel/trim piece off without ruining it is the crux of a headliner repair job on these P80 cars. Since the piece is already off on yours then now may be the time to replace the fabric.

JB Weld for plastic to put one back together. Then a thin layer on the back side for reinforcement. Still I think the real savior for Tupperware cars is going to be the 3D printer.

If you'd like, I can try to remove the sunroof trim on my 2000 XC prior to it disappearing.

That would be helpful even if you just send me broken pieces. I have a couple of pieces from mine, and I could try to piece them together, and add some sort of support at the glue lines.
