Chris -- have not tried reseating the ECM.

Battery holding at 13.03 V after overnight 10 amp charge and 2 + hours off the charger. Ambient temp. around 72°F.

I'll hook it up and go for broke.

I don't know what to believe. VIDA read battery voltage at one point after the charge to 13V at 10.something volts. Multimeter said 12.7. Five months short of sell by date on a 60 month battery. I'm thinking I should just replace it and take battery out of the equation since it will probably die over the winter anyway.

I’m not sure where VIDA is reading but you might check wiring and primary circuit cables for corrosion,

Remember the battery makes it’s presence known down at the starter so , after disconnecting the negative, remove and clean those terminals until they are shiny and bright and clean

It’s a new day. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Time to forget about the past, and go full troubleshooting mode.

Ignition stuff is pretty new, so let’s measure the fuel pressure at the rail.

If you find that remote mechanic coming to do your timing belt , if s/he is at all competent, s/he will have a fuel pressure gauge

Pop open your air cleaner and see if a Jersey rats took up residence during Covid days.

Air cleaner is due for replacement. FCP replacement arriving today/tomorrow. Vacuumed inside of air box. Don't have a fuel pressure gauge. Could be failing fuel pump, but my prior experience with those is binary failure, i.e., it either works or doesn't all of a sudden.

Not on a P2. Whethe PEM acts up, I had six months of occasional stumble, then finally a no start.

Fuel pressure tells tale.

I have a spare PEM somewhere. Just have to locate it, and location on vehicle. Never even considered failing PEM. Thanks for that suggestion.

Would a bad fuel pressure sensor give me a CEL and/or DTC?
