Those are Copper. Copper - Aluminum junctions are highly susceptible to Galvanic corrosion. That green stuff that grows near the soldered joints of Copper water pipes.
Good point. I had not thought about that. I just don't like the idea of your fine hot rod having bolts capping the tubes. I think it would be tacky.

Dang! Tested it with a magnet. The small line is aluminum except the end I and trying to cap is steel. The big line is all steel. I was going off what I seen at the other end of the small line.

Some spots on the natural leather interior are starting to dry out.
What leather softeners have you had good results with and which ones to avoid?
