S60 2003 passenger door from INSIDE not opening

Post by charlitos1988 »

you know I am the guy who burnt his DIM and now I am using an XC70 2001 DIM which is black but I can drive the car.

thing is.... today I realized from inside I can't open front passenger door.

from outside it's ok. I use the door handle and It moves the door "teeth" or whatever.... but the inside handle does nothing. and it DOESNT FEEL LOOSE.

so I read some topics that it is maybe electrical module thing ... I am worried a lot ....

any suggestion?

I'm working on a door of my car at the moment fixing a rattle..there are lots of rods/connectors which connect to an electronic module. You have to remove the door skin to see whats going on. It very much sounds like the handle plastic is broken, i believe this is very common. spare parts are available .

I watched a guy who "clip" the broken part with metal around it. is it a valid solution?

you can try making something but remember that a properly working handle is very important in an emergency.

last night I finally opened it to look the problem. and seems it was already opened before (2nd hand owner myself), because in the area of the problem, I found that plastic glued and some plastic cable which was holding it....

so it was just a matter of time it breaks.

well this week I will try to fix it.
