I'm looking for a plan to create a engine skid plate steel. Does someone has already done one ?

IPD makes a skid plate for the P80 platform but I think its aluminum.

The IPD one is aluminum.

I found one under a car in the junkyard a couple weeks ago.
'97 854 T5 - Manual Swap/M4.4/COP/NA cams/P2R Brakes/16T/ chassis bracing/ XC70 nose swap
'97 855 GLT - Hers. RN swap/16T/COP/VVT/exhaust/302s/Flashed M4.4/ chassis bracing/ 2 kid seats
'78 GLE - Waiting in the wings. Future whiteblock/T5 swap.

The Others- '83 TBird turbo, '85 Mercury Marquis LTS (1 of 134), '86 LTD Wagon, '81 Granada GL, '76 Beetle, '93 F-150 I6

I never find IPD stuff in the junkyard here. I'm always hopeful for some HD rear springs.

I got lucky. I almost didn't look under the car, as it wasn't outfitted with anything special.

It's a bit battered, but will clean up OK. Especially for $10.

Volvo offered a pretty stout one made of steel tubing.

I've mounted the sturdy one (last page in the catalog). After losing all motor oil hitting a stone on a gravel road in the middle nowhere 8n Sweden I invested in this and it has saved me at least once from an expensive towing and replacement of the oil pan. These are still in stock. At least in Scandinavia.

thinking that it probably paid for
