I asume infiniti becausethe 70 series p80 doesnt require that work. p80 70s are easy. Unless as you sat the headlight bolt strips. Those are 6, not 8 though.yanga001 wrote: ↑08 Sep 2020, 19:25 To lighten the mood, sometimes one needs to carry tools to fix their own tools. Added to the list: Zip ties (for any random fixes, or to release tension on electrical cables)
-Needed to use them to fix a friends infiniti. Those cars make me appreciate how easy it is to take a headlight out of any volvo. It was 7 push pins, 8 10mm bolts. 3 hours spent trying to remove two bolts since there shitty plastic decides to snap and allow the bolts to spin in place. All of that to replace a ballast in a headlight. Hell you have to pull back the wheel well cover and blindly stick your hand in just to replace a lightbulb (rant over).
breaker bar, for extra stubborn bolts.
Battery terminal cleaner (those wire brushes work wonders)
floodlight with a small inverter
edit: changed headlight to lightbulb

Carrying a breaker bar has been mentioned, but length makes all the difference here. They are not that easy to find, but each of my cars has a 30" bar. That will get the most stubborn lug bolts either loose, or snap them off
I always advocate non violent conflict resolve, but I suppose they could be re-purposed
Other items you will find in my cars are wheel chucks, a set of warning triangles and of course a portable 12 volt air compressor.

I love the simplicity and ease of fixing/replacig a lot of the volvo parts. The one replacement im dreading is the 960 heater core because the people that have done it say that the car must have been built around it. In other words, its a pain.yanga001 wrote: ↑09 Sep 2020, 07:02The infiniti, I can take out and fully disassemble the volvo headlight in the time it takes to pull off the bumper. 3 bolts and your doneCIK7 wrote: ↑08 Sep 2020, 22:56Are you refering the lightbulb/headlight swap to the infiniti or volvo? On the other hand, the HC replacement on my 98 XC was a breeze.
