The only issues I have with the brass barbed 90* is that because it's a hard 90* turn I feel that it doesn't flow as well as a curved sweep 90.
Also the inside diameter of the fitting is way smaller than 5/8", which also restricts flow. The spring inside the hose prevents it from collapsing while not restricting the flow.
Just my .02 cents...

Neil.
A serious flaw in the procedures described in that link is using cheap heater hose. Cheap heater hose has two potential problems (1) it can kink and collapse under the manifold where the hose makes a 90 degree bend, clogging the PCV and (2) it is not oil resistant and may eventually turn to mush again clogging the PCV. MVS member tryingbe put together the best solution, he used fuel line or some other oil resistant hose and a 5/8 brass barbed 90 degree elbow for the bend under the manifold.
Good stuff, don't think about those minor majors. Transmission hose would work also.

Did mine last weekend with the Genuine Volvo kit from IPD. All went well except when trying to replace the O-ring on the first injector (figured I might as well do it since the kit included them) the pintle cap on the injector broke. So, if you do decided to replace the O-rings be very careful not to break the pintle cap -- mine are old and brittle.

My parts car had a full complement of injectors, so I just replaced the injector. Ran a bit rough at first and threw some misfire codes on cylinders 1 and 2, maybe because of air that got into the fuel rail when I replaced the injector. Maybe should've primed the fuel system by turning the key off and on a few times to operate the fuel pump.

Pintle caps are all messed up. I can I can put the ring o-ring on it however the small plastic piece that holds the o-ring on the injector is broken see my pics

The hardest thing is getting the bolts off the manifold I suggest having a lot of extensions a lot of different size socket heads tall and short and have socket knuckles or whatever they're called so you can position the socket on directly on the bolt

I am working on the last manifold bolt near the power steering and coolant hose intake. Ouch!

And may be time to replace the spark plugs. Hahaha see pics.

Hmmmm these things are fussy about plugs. Correct?

What kind should I use ? Model number , type?

Thanks. At least we are making headway over here!

Yeah I'm very close! Can't get the oil dipstick bolt loose, and the ones from under the manifold.

I did one bolt off the manifold rest bracket. From the bracket to the engine block...that 12 mm bolt. Hope that's correct!

Also replaced the plugs while they were looking right at me! Haha

I used antisieze, the prior tech didn't, and I put in BKR6ES made by NGK . gapped aT .028
$2.99 each!

Have to figure out the torque amount and go grab my torque wrench. Ahhhhhh 18 lb ft or. Hand tighten. And then 1/4 turn
