That’s Iron ore ciuntry isn’t it! Been there for a project years ago?

Use Volvo. Mann, or Mahle filters only.

I've been using Wix or Mahle on our RN engines (cartridge-type filters) with no issues.

I wouldn't consider a Fram filter for anything I own/drive.

'97 855 GLT - Hers. RN swap/16T/COP/VVT/exhaust/302s/Flashed M4.4/ chassis bracing/ 2 kid seats

Just adding to the same chorus here... Mahle or Mann only for these engines. I've done three seperate 10,000 mile oil changes over the years in my car (now over 300K miles), and the filters have always been free of any deformities with those long and regular oil change intervals.

Fram is generally known as a pretty crappy brand. Cheap and fine for light use, but you can find hundreds of posts and topics across the internet concerning deformed Fram oil filters of all kinds. Maybe they've gotten better, but for how cheap you can get the high quality OEM filters online, it isn't even worth trying in my opinion.

Fram is one of those supply chain stories of an excellent brand being ruined by an acquisition and then top level greed

Edit: I would personally drive way longer than 3k miles before an oil change.
Edit2: cool thing with WIX is that they include a washer seal. Bravo!
