P80 power seat switch troubleshooting , driver side

Shaggkira driver seat fore aft has gone out, seat is stuck in fairly close position

This is a problem as I’m 6 foot 1, and we have girls home who run from 5 feet 2 to 5 feet 14 inches

A single function not working points a bit to the motor, but I pulled the switch assembly first and probably found cause,

Seat switch unclips from seat without tools

Torx T25 allows switch to release from plastic

Philip is screws hold circuit board to switch body

So resoldering solved the problem?
Summer: 1996 855 R

What year is the car? I have a beige driver's seat switch assembly for I believe was a 98? I don't need it.

All restaurants cars are now Taco Bell 1999s.

I'll see if I can dig it out and check if it is a 98 or older or the newer version I picked up for the 2000 V70 I worked on.

Update, now I hear the motor clicking but no motion fore aft.

Looks like I picked a good time to buy two power C70 seats for skins and get spare motors for free

On the 850's that symptom would point to a problem with the cabling, not the motor.

Looks like the potential for air-gap was installed at the factory.
I have the switch gear from the blue parts container out already, and I'm slightly closer than Neil - plus that pesky Border thing can slow things up.
Good thing you have an Inside project today; a bit brisk up there it seems.
