Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond. Several different options appear to have worked for others. I did find Dorman 03127 - exhaust stud kit, that looks promising but not metric. As I clean and prep for reassembly, I will settle on a solution for this. I have a lot to do before then; I pulled the exhaust, driveshaft, rear sub-frame assy, to repair a leaky tank. The things we do for love; but anyway, I will post whatever my solution Is to this problem. Thanks again!

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.

After much searching, I never did find the proper stud. It frustrated me because it is a simple splined stud. My old 1998 Jeep used a similar stud in its exhaust (unfortunately a different size). I ended up just using nuts and bolts. One thing I did do that I have not seen discussed is use a ball-joint press (the big C-clamp type) to remove the studs from the flange. It took a minute to figure out the set up but worked great. I preferred that to the grinding and drilling option. If you don’t have the tool, it might be available for free rental from your local auto parts store.
