I installed a $60 turbo pressure gauge on my dash so I can keep an eye on it, I had recently rebuilt my turbo.
Also discovered I had a very sloppy and worn wastegate actuator arm clevis.
Testing the turbo wastegate actuator is simple.
Preliminarily, reach in and feel the wastegate connector, there shouldn't be any slop in the linkage.
I set mine to actuate on the conservative side, just did it manually without any fancy vac pumps .
Help with erratic acceleration (throttle, thermostat, more?)
