Hello there, I suppose this would be a question for the moderators. Does anyone know if there is a tutorial for replacing the blend door actuators on the 2001-2007 S60/V70's ?

In VIDA, yes. All of them but the driver hot/cold are easily reachable at the passenger side when the glove compartment is removed. That last one is PIA as you have to work blindly with one hand. Still doable though.

What problem are you trying to solve?

So, on the driver's side ( LH)....as the car warms up it starts to get hot. The more you drive, the hotter it gets. A retired Volvo tech said that the blend door actuator is stuck open, thus defeating the a/c. I just wanted to see how to go about replacing the motor/ servo. For some reason Volvo here in Cincinnati has unusually high part prices..I found a dealership in Ft Washington PA which is much more reasonable relatively speaking...MDK

I put this: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... or-8623354 You need a small 1/4" rachet for torx bit and long pliers, used straight crescent type.

Also the chip is a usual culprit of the failure, it can now be bought in China for a fraction of motor's price: https://www.yoycart.com/Product/39044497258/

Hey VTL. thank you! That motor/ servo is a nice price. I was thinking about this..I was wondering if I pull the radio and HVAC control if I'll have better access..

No, a better access is only to remove the whole dash...

You can do it from below the dash. Lots of curses, but doable.

junkyard is 90% off. Parts like that are typically $20.
