I finished replacing the control arms and ball joints. 100% alignment needed. I suspect the unreported front end collision necessitated an alignment compensation. Now with new parts the steering wheel is 15 degrees to the left for straight driving and the passenger wheel has some visible toe out.

I never had issues or needed alignment after control arms or bushings replacement.
It could be that somebody in the past performed alignment with bad and worn steering parts.
