Still searching for the cause of a front end squeak

Aaand -- it rained today. And no squeaks or thumps. Does that help to narrow it down? My under car session didn't show anything.

maybe put it on ramps and have someone bounce it.
its preferable to jackstands because it keeps the suspension sprung (loaded).

In the colder weather, I always get a creaking sound. Pretty sure it's the stabilizer bar bushings that are factory-fused to the bar. I spray them with lubricant but never seems to help much.

In your case with a clunk, it must be something more.

Could be front subframe's rear bushings, Volvo had TSB/TJ and rubber O-rings to fix that.
