How frustrating! The dealer shop apparently just doesn't want to do the work, and will never "confirm" anything with Volvo (because they already know). See Rick's post for a possible solution. In your final call to the dishonest dealer service manager mention to them you know they are lying and are tired of it and are taking your business elsewhere.
