Which browser are you using?
If you are using Microsoft Edge install the IE TAB extension.

Thanks Rick
Yes was trying with Edge as saw supported with the IE Tab extension which I did install (or thought so - I will check) happy to use Chrome etc (which I’ll try) - would the browser cause that type of error?
Cheers

Vida has a lot of dependencies. Including Internet explorer. IE TAB takes care of that dependency.

Try the IE hosting in the iso. VIDA:\Install\Utils\EnableIEHostingx64.reg . EnableIEHostingx86.reg if you have 32 bit version of windows.

Reboot and try again.

Thanks understand, I’ll try appropriate options & let you know - pretty sure I’m on x64 but have several PCs so best to check everything.
Appreciated

Hi Rick
That nudge did the trick - working fine now (I’d not correctly set up IE hosting I’m pretty sure - I redid that & retried - worked 👌
Thank-you so much, I knew I was close but without your help I’d still be scratching my head.
Cheers
Loz

I’m nearly in tears…
I cannot ‘unpack’ the patch.
I just get …

F4443FB6-6DDF-45AE-872E-20576576316D.jpeg (3.46 MiB) Viewed 2366 times
I have tried for seven days, bought another laptop , Recovered / restarted windows many times on my two machines. I am completely at a loss.
I delete the patch folders, I download again, I attempt to extract and …foiled again
On one machine I have Vida log in page but can’t enter any thing in ( which is what the patch is for) as I proceeded with all the install steps without fully completing step 4 ‘run the 2099 patch’.

I’m very sad - but a dab hand at restarting laptops and erasing everything.
RickHaleParker I need your guidance, I can follow step by steps but am a complete novice and not familiar with the ‘back streets’ of windows.

Am I even doing it right ?

The only other time I seen that, it was a download error. Deleting the patch and downloading it again fixed the problem.

Appears that I was attempting to extract into a named folder. By changing the destination to just the c drive it ran and now appears to work. But I have no drop down box for communication tool.
I’ve read one of your posts about running a device install - but quite honestly I have read soooo many posts I now dream of Vida and repackaged.ISO’s.
I’m going to try one more time to delete and reload by following your instructions- maybe tomorrow, now I think I’ve made a bit of headway…
