Thanks for that Matthew! Not had a chance to take an actual picture, too busy looking at a used Volvo for sale?

I will take and post a picture Manov tomorrow. Sometimes the pictures don't fully show how bright it is, but I will comment when I post.

I think I paid abut $40 CDN for the 2 lights. Each supposedly put out about 15,000 lumens. That is a lot of light even with only 2 in a garage. I am not sure I believe the claimed output but it is really bright!

I will also take a picture of our 'small/old' garage which may be about the size of yours but without the high roof. It may help to get some ideas.

I took pictures of some of the lights in our 'old' garage. Unfortunately for some reason my phone camera seems to lessen the true effect of how bright the lights are:

So this shows just the one light unit on. It is actually brighter than this in reality! Apologies for the mess on the bench! Stuff was dumped on here when the floor was being sealed in the new garage with epoxy. The lower section of dash is either for parts or repair to replace the borken one in the 'R'

I have now switched on the rest of the lights for my work bench area. Just added the switchable 120mm LED light as I found working in the corner of the bench I was always causing a shadow on what I was working on.The storage bins are for the many smaller Volvo parts I have. I still have to find time to organise them better and document what I have.

Shelves for my much reduced supply of wood and longer 'stuff' for the house. These are simple units and are attached to the concrete walls with concrete anchors.

The large cardboard box is a 'pigeon' hole metal unit for storing nuts and bolts. As the junkyard does not charge for those I always bring any I remove or find home with me. Hate to waste stuff! :D

All the stuff in the middle will be returned to the new garage shortly as the 'R' hibernates in here under sheets over the winter.

New shelving going up in the 'new' garage. These are shelves like the wood storage shelves in the old garage. For some of them I am planning to add plywood shelves with small lips on the front so stuff does not roll off them!

Heavy duty shelves that can carry about 1000lbs/shelf. The blue shelves are plywood ones I build myself and painted. I also made more storage under the metal topped wooden work bench. Finally a metal shelf unit to the left is a welding bench again with more storage under it! You can never have too much storage!! :D

Wow ! tHe place to go to repair my 850 ... :D

My lights are not so powerful, but enough to walk in the garage without issue. As it's not my own, i won't go so far with shelves, but there is some idea...

Thank Neil.

Does someone has the torques values for serpentine belt tensioners and other pulleys ?

BTW, what says Volvo about the frequency concerning the SB replacement : each 5 years ?

Thanks Guys !

I don't think there is a recommended life span of the serpentine belt, but I would check it after 5 years and look for cracks in the valleys on the toothed side.

I have loads of info in torque settings but it is mostly for suspension stuff. I don't have info for 850's either easily available. I will send you stuff for a V/S/C 70 engine which should be similar. I will e-mail you as it will be from a Haynes manual so I can't post it here. I will do that over the weekend.

Neil, don't waste your time... I've forgotten i've got the Haynes for my 850 ! The proof that everybody should have canadian buddy, to remind to use Haynes ... :D

Haynes says serpentine belt each 20 000 miles. It may be correct for the earlier 850 models i think.

Nothing about torques for SB.
