Post by Janpy »

Hi
In the right front behind the frontlight i found
A black sensor, with one wire cut.
Does any one know where its for?
In the pc
In the picture is the sensor and the connector
With a blue white wire and a dark wire, cannot see the color.
Thank you

Jan

'i don't see any picture or attachment to be sure what you are talking about.

However, trying to recall what is there. There could be a black wire if I recall for the security system if someone tries to open the hood with the alarm set, there is also the altitude sensor mounted by the hood latch. Can't think of anything else.

The 2nd item I would expect to throw a code if not connected.

It could be a water level sensor for the windshield washer fluid bottle warning light?

Thanks for the reply's
In the first picture there is only the connector.
I will check the coolant or washer fluid sensor.
The sensor now was put in some hole in the cars metal frame behind the headlights
