Try the passenger side axle. Sorry I thought it was in place already. It could be it is still rotating as the brakes will do squat for that!

The passenger side axle is in, tire on, lug and axle nuts are torqued. Started the car and moved the shifter through all the gears - no problems but it was still a bit hard to shift into park. The good thing was there was no noise!
Now, I have to take the car off the jacks and then put it through the true test - backing up and then going forward, then into park.
I will post results shortly! Cross your fingers for me!

Finger's crossed!
Check your trans oil level once you are done to make sure it is correct. On your engine this is done hot.

I believe there is a cable that attaches between the ignition switch area (mechanical ignition/steering lock I think...) and the gear selector. I remember having to lube mine, but it was some time ago.5rivers wrote: ↑18 May 2023, 16:30 The passenger side axle is in, tire on, lug and axle nuts are torqued. Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Success

Still a little hard to put into park, but was able to backup the car out of the driveway and move the green V70 out. Still need to have some welding done on the exhaust and find the cause of the hard steering on the green V70, then have the car inspected!
I will look for that cable, wisechatmgr!
Thanks to all of you for your helpful advice and suggestions!
