95 850 turbo Throttle Position Sensor code

Post by 850brat »

1. Replaced the throttle position sensor and still receiving the TPS code

2. Car hesitates on acceleration from standstill until it warms up to operating temperature

Are theses 2 issues related?

What brand is the new TPS? May or may not matter, just curious.

Is the connector plug in good shape? Maybe the issue was wiring not the actual sensor.

Overall I’d say yes, good chance they related. Those are among the symptoms of a bad TPS and presumably you are getting a TPS code. What is the actual p code number?

Several months I’d about the lifespan for many aftermarket sensors, FWIW. If it Was me I’d be testing by swapping in a spare TPS from the junkyard etc, but not everyone has access to those …
