Hi Everyone
Not new to Volvo at all - y father drove a 264 when I was a youngster.
I have had my 2006 XC90 Exec since it was 3 months old - Still going strong
Just bought 2 C70 T5's - Funny story, bought a real nice one (2006) 5 weeks ago and then found a better one 2 weeks later so bought that too. Probably will keep both.
I am a Bosch Qualified IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry UK) Master Technician - Diagnosis and Electrical faults is my day job - I work close Heathrow Airport (Hatton Cross) !!
My issue is that I have no footbrake effort at the rear left brake caliper. I see a new Caliper has already been fitted. If I loosen the hose to it, with the brake pedal pressed I have no seepage of fluid !!
I work in a busy workshop and I dont get much chance to use a Ramp for private use so I thought I would get a heads up here first.
At the moment I'm thinking ABS pump has a fault and am happy to throw a new one at it !!
My question is " Is there any other component between the ABS Pump and the Brake Caliper on that car that needs to be tested first ?
Also - Is this a known concern with these vehicles ??
Thank you !!

Can't think of anything other than the obvious stuff. If it has a new caliper, unless t has a bad bleed screw can't think why it would not bleed.
Collapsed internals of a flexi-hose would be the more obvious issue.
ABS pump could be bad.
Have you tried bleeding with a pressure bleeder in case it has got an air lock somewhere like the ABS pump?
Neil.

Hi Scot / Neil
I never did get as fr as the bleed nipple - I removed the caliper and slackened off the Flexible hose expecting at least some seepage of fluid but not a drop - Oh, with Engine running a pedal pressed hard. In all my years have never seen a collapsed flexi hose !!
How collapsed could it be ? Enough so that not even a drip of fluid when pressurised ??
So could someone please confirm that there is no other component from ABS pump to caliper - Unlikely on a car however always best to ask - Do these have load Compensating valve ??
