Well being the big spender that I am, I'll take 2 of the valve spring retainer washers. Not that I'd ever lose one.

And the lost washer has been found ! Amazing what distance a little piece of metal can fly.
So Thanks everyone for your help. At least I learned about the change in valve stems in '99.

Did we ever find a source for the eccentric bolts on the rear end of the '99 V70 XC AWD? I'm guessing someone makes them for other purposes - trick is tracking them down.

Mercedes also uses eccentric suspension bolts. What are the chances they are the same? Anyone have some dimensions?

Thinking out loud - could a thick washer with an eccentric hole be welded to the appropriate bolt head?
