Wheels for a '98 S70?

Post by utilityaudio »

Hi folks,
it's getting to be time for new tires for my '98 S70, so between one of my rims having an unfixable slow leak that I'm tired of dealing with, and wanting something with a little more modern-standard sized tires... I'd like to get new (to me) wheels.

I currently have 195/60R-15 Michelin Premier A/S SL mounted on these wheels

(please pardon the bubbles, it's the most recent photo I have of my car)

can anyone point me towards some reasonably priced and decent looking wheels?
I am obviously not knowledgeable about wheels and tires, any advice is appreciated.

Thank you

Try a junkyard or the classifieds sections, this is the best way to get reasonably priced wheels, maybe still with good tires.

By "modern" do you mean 16" ? They were standard on some models.

Get too wide and there will be some rubbing; some of the later wheels might have backspace issues.
Spot something you fancy then check with Dr. Abscate on his stash.

Let me know if you're interested in parting with the old Cetus wheels/tires. I could put them back to use.

15, 16 & 17 depending the condition of the springs and struts. It they are old and has sagged some it will cause some rubbing.

.
1) Replaced 16" wheels on a 98 S70 T5 (car long gone) with 01 V70 15" wheels.
2) Original Stock 15" on 00 S70 Base
3) Current - 00 S70 Base with 07 S60 2.5T Eurus wheels.
4) Cut & Paste - The Orpheus 17" currently on the 07 S60 2.5T is suppose to fit on the S70 also. They share the same center bore.
5) Current wheels.
