The battery vent tube (30668290) on my 2004 V70 was missing the right angle bit that plugs into the battery, so I bought a replacement. I was able to install the new one, but it came with a clip that I can't figure out. Does anyone know where this clip is supposed to clip in the battery compartment?

I'm proud to say I was able to figure out the "attach the vent tube" to the battery part of the install on my own. :D
The part that is giving me trouble is the clip on the plastic loom for the vent tube. I'm not seeing an obvious place where it would clip to the battery compartment of my V70. I'm thinking it might be for some other model that shares the same part, but wanted to ask the forum in case there was a Volvo approved installation location for the clip in question.

That type of clip looks like it clips over a metal pinch weld. If there is none nearby, then you are likely correct it may have been transferred from something else. I don't think either of our P2's has a vent tube at all.

@mtaboy,

If you had spent a bit of time browsing through some YouTube videos, the answer was there. It is in the video I posted above.

I appreciate your help, Neil! It pointed me in the right direction to the pinch weld. I found a Youtube video (in Swedish) that actually provides a clear image of the intended mounting.
