I have Vida 2014

how do you test a component? For example If i wanted to test the VVT selonoid how does one go about that?

I tried last night. I went into diagnostics, got the network displayed, clicked on ECM and went to the VVT in the dropdown. It displayed the VVT diagram and explained what tests are performed, however I saw no way to actually run the tests in VIDA.

any help is appreciated

Do you have an actual issue or it is just a fun project? I will not pretend that I know much about Vida or where to find special functions for it. In any decent aftermarket scanners under special functions you will be able to command vvt solenoid on/off. Vida should have that option as well, but i am not a person to ask where to find it. If you are trying to troubleshoot specific issue, we hopefully can help you more

AT the moment no I do not.I had a code for VVT but has yet to reappear. I have a decent scanner with control functions in it, however I also have Vida and want to use it since it is very volvo centric. I also know that potentially vida has more functionality.

i saw a post where a vida user outlined how to do it but i could not get it to work.
