Hello,
I’m looking for a discontinued part: 9474333 the center crossmember for the driveshaft and exhaust system for a 2000 V70XC. Does anyone have a source for one?

There are a couple of versions of this and you might be able to find one of the earlier or later versions is still available. The only difference is how the carrier bearing mounts so you drill a hole in a new place to solve that problem.

I’ve got one on my ‘removed axle’ s70 awd if you really get stuck. It’s a Don Beyer car ftom VA so shouldn’t be too rusty.
I have another on a xc70 99 upstate which isn’t mine but is probably available too.

I am pretty sure the flat version of this cross member used on the FWD cars is available still.

Plan c could be buying that and gabbing a bearing carrier plate with two bolt holes for the driveshaft

Part number Floor Pan Cross-Member - Volvo (9133420)

On edit - also discontinued. Readily available in junkyards. 4 m8 bolts hold it on

There is a 1998 xc70 parts car coming up on Capital. Not sure where you are but on eastern seaboard probably $1000 to get it to your door. If you are committed to the XC a parts car isn’t a bad idea

You can run these without the rear driveshaft installed, right? I may just do that since it need a new driveshaft

Yes. You can just take the driveshaft off if the viscous coupler is ok.

There are two ( three) different driveshafts on the p80 XC so you have to match VC and shaft.

If you remove the angle gear you have to secure the coupler too, threads on that are in this forum
