Timing belt changed, off one tooth, corrected, still get DSC

2006 XC70. I changed the timing belt, started engine & while on test ride, Check Engine light came on. My handheld scanner didn't show any ECM codes, but when I got home and connected to VIDA, I got these codes: ECM-670C Camshaft position, inlet-High and ECM-671C Camshaft position, exhaust-High. I moved each cam sprocket back (ccw) one tooth, rotated the engine twice and double-checked crank & cam positions. All looked ok, but when I start the engine I get the same codes. What do I need to do to clear these codes? Thanks.

vida will clear them, I thinl you have to be in delivery mode, then 'clear codes' becomes active at the bottom of the screen.

You are correct. Switching to the Delivery tab enabled clearing the DTC’s. They did not return during test drive. Success!! Thanks for the help

I just checked my VIDA today after getting the t-belt changed on my 2001 V70 T5 around new years. The ECM-644A code was still there, and it was around prior to t-belt replacement, solenoid, and hub replacement. Cleared it off and has not returned after some spirited driving. Supposedly was disabling my variable timing, but have noticed no performance improvement.

You have to tell vida the hard fault was corrected.
Some go away, some need a re-set.

VVT is for switching from Otto cycle to partial Atkinson/Miller cycle, i.e. for saving fuel, not giving more power.

In my recent experience, setting the exhaust timing incorrectly will set a code ECM-644A that disables the exhaust VVT function AND will decrease performance AND fuel mileage. After correcting the timing, power and MPG improved.
I actually drove it this way a few weeks before I made the timing correction.

I must have said "a functioning VVT" Ignition angles off are of course loss of power.

Thanks for the info. I reset it yesterday so hopefully the code doesn't come back. Between the t-belt and the exhaust solenoid replacement I'm not sure what else it would be if it does.
