Still having vibrations

It might be the ignition coils. On my Volvo when they failed, the car was vibrating on both idle and driving, but in a BMW it was only vibrating bad on idle until it got worse and started misfiring later on. With both cars, the idle was either erratic, or not normal.

sorry for bumping up this thread but I experience some of those symptoms on my V70 D5 as well.

I have removed the whole subframe, because I needed to replace the clutch along with the DMF. I played around with it for 3 weeks, because work eats up a lot of my free time and will. So when I put it back all together and start the engine, I experienced the vibrations. They occur at idle only and not while driving. So I thought to myself that maybe some engine mounts broke and since I work at LKQ (a car part seller) I tried some engine mounts, mounted them but with no luck of fixing the idle vibrations.

So far I have replaced the rear engine mount near the crank pulley, the lower engine-mount that holds the gearbox, the upper-most engine-mount thats held on the torque rod between the shock-absorbers and also the subframe front engine mount, that holds the vacuum. Also I have replaced a front passenger side subframe bushing, because it was sagging and the rubber wasnt touching the subframe, so thought it might be the culprit but sadly no.

The only engine-mount I havent touched is the rear subframe one that holds the vacuum.

Does anybody have an idea what could it be? The vibrations only happen when idling. When I drive it runs smooth.

I really dont want to take the whole subframe down and inspect the DMF that it might be faulty.

first check if engine when idling vibrates more than normal--if is excessive the months will not be able to absorb it--it may be the engine issue-not the mounts-so check spark plug gaps--MAF-sensors and camshaft sensors--even gas pressure sensor

But it wasnt behaving like that prior to removing the subframe etc. It only started happening after I replaced the DMF, the clutch and put the subframe back on.

There is an order to tightening the subframe mounts. If you di it in the wrong order the subframe will be crooked. Read VIDA:

Left side is tightened first and then the right side with the torque values listed above. The smaller bracket bolts to the bottom of the cabin are last. That order was the difference for being able to align one the Volvos below with it being out of specification until I followed the correct tightening order.
