1993 850 2.0l non turbo - Central locking relay access

Hello everyone !

Fuse 6 is fine. But I don't have any life in any of my locks. Except that all three do activate de fuel tank door.

The previous owner told me it did work for some time.

I understood there is a relay (205/206) under the fuse plate. But I have no idea how to access it. I saw a post with some diagram but, cables prevent from pulling the second relay plate out.

There are two screws to undo, but the whole block moves but doesn't come out our give access.

If any one of you has already done that I'm ready to follow some advice.

It is accessed from the inside of the car by removing the lower dash panel on the driver's side. The lower relay portion of the central electrical unit is mounted high on the firewall - directly below the fuse box.

Pulling out the entire lower "relay plate" would be a task and a half - I would be checking other things - all other things - rather than yanking the entire lower central electrical unit.

So you are saying I can access the relay from inside the car. Good.

Absolutely, there is a big gob of wires in front of it and you need to be a contortionist to get to it - but yes - you get to it from the inside of the car.

Keep us posted and if you have questions on the way please post them back. In real life I'm an electrical engineer and I can try to help you along the way.

I want to replace the 205/206 relay and understand where this panel is but do not understand how you get to it with all of the wires in the way.
My dome lights below the rear view mirror and the courtesy lights over the rear doors do not work. Have replaced fuses. Instrument and dash lights work as do the lower courtesy lights near the front doors.
