850 turbo turnsignal stalk broken

Post by 850turbocarl »

Hi Gang, My left turnsignal stalk broke on My 94 850 turbo and is hanging by the wires. Is it a tough job to replace it? It looks like the switch is not hard to replace but one has to remove the steering wheel and the airbag. Also it doesn't show what fasteners are recessed in the housing. Thanks,

859 turbo Carl

All you need to remove to get to it is the collar around the steering column.

Yup, pop the top cover off the steering column, remove the bottom cover, it will have 2 T25 Torx screws and a T15 Torx screw.

Now you remove the two T25 screws that hold the turn signal switch to the steering column, and unplug the connector.

Reverse process.

Now drive 45 miles per hour in the left lane of the freeway with your signal on to simulate eligibility for the senior discount at IHOP.
