Dumb Question

Front ashtray light?
I have an S70....I could have sworn there was a light that shined down when I opened the ashtray but nothing now. Tried searching in owner's manual, VADIS and on here and V.S...nada.
I pulled the ashtray to try to find where to replace the bulb but couldn't find one. I'm usually not the one to ask questions about my S70 here, but someone have an answer to this?
Residing right above the ashtray is the blinker (hazard and turn signal) switch. I replaced it last year and maybe since then I have no light? Maybe I moved something in its replacement?
Doesn't bother me a lot but just wanted that light to be on when it's suppose to be on....if you get my drift.

Not so dumb.If you open the ashtray you will see 2 torques screws, remove them then the ashtray assembly can be removed. After having done that look up and you should see the light bulb,I just did this on my xc, the bulb was $7 at the dealer.I found it easier to remove the bulb holder from the clip than trying to relamp it in place.good luck.

I wondered the same thing. Every time I rubbed out my butt, the red light in the ashtray went out. Took me a long time to figure it all out.

I just wrote this up over on VS since it seemed like a lot of us are doing this replacement these days. Not a dumb question.

Thank you very much...I had seen that "flag" looking holder when I was in there last night but didn't realize that was the bulb holder. I believe I can slip it out without the radio being out of it's slot. I'll get to it soon. Where did you find the replacement bulb?

EDIT: Okay, just pulled the bulb w/ holder out. I see that these are about $8.50 to $9.00 each from online shops. Like I asked before- anyone know where else to get these for cheaper, locally?
