How do I remove air cleaner intake duct & ECU box air duct from fan shroud? I don't want to break them. Thanks, great site.

Bill,

The ECU tube has a nipple on the end that just pops out of a rubber liner in the hole in the shroud. If you pull the duct off at the other end (ECU end) first, then you can rotate the duct and pop it out at an angle to loosen it. This duct, in particular does get brittle with heat and age so it very well may crack, but you can't get it out without applying some force to it.

The intake duct should just slide out toward the rear. The accordian section should allow enough play to removed it, but if it's brittle, you may also want to remove the duct from the airbox end first.

When I did mine, I just pulled the ECU duct off at the ECU box end and left it connected to the shroud. FYI, the air duct pulls off the air box easily after you get the turbo pipes/hoses off, but be careful when you put if back. It fits around the outside of the duct that sticks out of the air box. Here's a photo of the shroud out the car.
