AC problem - 2001 V70 2.4T

Hello,

My blower fan has stopped working. It worked sporadically for a few days and has now quit completely. I did see an early post on how to change the blower fan. Would this apply here ? How would I check to see if there is an electrical problem ?

My fan (2002 V70 non-turbo) stopped working last spring. I took it out and found that it wouldn't spin freely. I then cleaned off all the dust, put a few drops of oil on the bearings and then connected 12 volts to it and it started working again. I re-installed it and it hasn't failed yet.

Thanks. I hope it is that simple. I saw a post for an older model showing that the fan was on the passenger side basically behind the glove compartment. Is this where it was for your model ?

Yes, that was where it is located. I did take a few pics of the fan when I had it out. If I can find them I will post them.
I did remove the glove box.
IIRC you need torx bits to remove the fan.
