03' V70 Alarm Module woes, advice needed

Thank you guys. Further troubleshooting will have to wait. The car is back in Boston with my daughter, and I am out of the country right now. And it might be a while until I get back.

I am in contact with FCP as well, and of course they suggest to have another (professional) opinion on this, which makes sense.
One option I will try to persue is to have her go to SwedishMotors in Allston and have them check it out.

I just wanted to bring closure to this. My daughter brought the car to Swedish Motors in Allston (Boston) a while ago and they found out that there is a calibration procedure for new alarm modules. They did the service for free even (Great guys!!) and now the module works perfect. There is no service message anymore either.
So maybe this is something that had to be done for earlier years up to 04 perhaps?

Great follow-up post thank you.

I replaced an alarm module on a 06 S60 two weeks ago, no calibration, and that fixed the code for good. Just concurring that calibration is not needed for later years.

sounds like faulty info, no calibration required for alarm.
maybe they had to clear a code.
