I bought this USA Spec piece and it's been working great for me. The Aux input is great to use for any kind of device you have that has a headphone jack. All you need is a 3.5mm to RCA cable to connect the two.
The unit acts as a CD Changer when connected to the head unit. When selecting CD #6 it enables the aux input (RCA jacks). When selecting CD #5, the ipod will be active. The unit doesn't use FM modulation, so it sounds much better than any transmitter you'll find. It also charges your ipod/iphone (works with my wife's iphone 4 and my new-gen ipod touch) and will do track forward/back as well so you don't need to handle your phone/ipod as much.
If you're installing the unit by yourself, make sure to not unplug the heater controls! Doing this will set off the airbag fault code. It's pretty tight, but you can make it work.

Great stuff, thank you all. Come to find out, the unit I have pictured will not fit the 98 V70 because my HU has 8pin plugs, not the 7 as pictured in the above plug. This will fit the wife's 02 V70, but I need to get the "USA Spec CB-PA85 3G iPhone/2G Touch/Nano iPod Cable" to complete the set up.
As for the hardwiring splice, can someone tell me what I need to find (colors) from the HU harness in both the 02 and 98?
Thanks so much, again.

That adapter should work with your '98, but I believe
that you'll need the correct adapter cable. Give'em a call.
As for the power wiring, here are the diagrams:

Please excuse my lack of knowledge on this matter, but these items look very hard to install. I am assuming they come with some kind of instructions? Also, for a 1999 v70, I need to buy the honda kit, and also the other item?
You need the PA HON 11 plus the extra cable
Buy it from Crutchhfield and that's it

I had written in another thread in the old forums about replacing my factory speakers, but since there's an actual forum dedicated to them, I decided to just put it in here.
I have an S70 GLT that has the 8 speaker system. The dash and front doors are 4 ohms, which going into the radio, may mean that there's an internal crossover going into those channels. The doors are just midranges and the dash are tweeters. The rear doors and rear deck are both 8 ohms and coaxial and wired, factory-wise, parallel to get a 4 ohm load into the receiver. Going off of this information, I had some options running in my head as to what to do.
