Oil leaks, but only while driving

LOL, man you can't stop an oil leak with silicone. If you're taking about the turbo return line, there is a little kit you can buy to stop it. Easy fix they tell me.

Thank you; yes: the turbo oil return line.

Let me ask: why's it leak in the first place? I'd think that the oil would just run right into the oil pan, even without a seal; even if the oil returns under pressure, it has the entire oil pan into which to run, right? Seems like it would have to "run uphill" and past the seal, in order to get outside.

Also, what could be used to supplement the seal, if not silicone?

I had the exact same leak, but the Root Cause was the REAR Cam Seal, not the rectangular plate seals as mentioned by rspi.

Anyway, I updated the seal using Corteco seal ($6/each):

Any idea what those locations were purposed for that have blocking plates? Inquiring minds want to know...

Robert...can You post the part number for the block off plate seal kit?

I’m interested.

Wcm...my files Tell be that behind those plates are the toggle switches to enable the heated rear third seat option.
