I totally agree .It HAD to be bad or dried out after so many years. That is what I was hoping for. However, upon inspection, the mount appears to be as good as new - not sagged and pliable, exactly as per your picture.
P.S. Thanks for the nice photos.

@ Bruce: That looks like the right mount, just made wrong. If you look at the part that goes into the slot on the motor, it's off the amount you say. That's the problem with these companies that decide to "get in the game".

Please let us know where you got the mount so we can steer clear.

I have a 1999 S70 non-turbo with a deep vibration at idle when in "Drive" with the brake applied. The vibration goes away when in park. I inspected the lower right motor mount and it looks okay. Should I attempt to replace it anyway. Its my best guess.

I would suspect that mount too. It may look OK, but it's hard to tell unless you start jacking up the oil pan (please use a piece of wood under the pan). Then you might see the rubber is separated.

Hello. I was having the same vibe problems . Replaced mine Saturday in about 30 min. $32.00 from NAPA. It stopped the vibrations. My car runs smoother, and seems faster. Old one was split on the bottom , out of view. Couldn't pass up for price .

This thread has lots of photos of the mount. If you look at it from the back side you can see if it is flat and resting on the frame.

Replaced the lower right engine mount. No improvement. Still a deep vibration at idle when in "drive". I have inspected the transmission mount, which looks okay. Exhaust system has no leakage. I'm thinking it might be something internal with the muffler.
