Where to buy 40 Torx 7" extension bit (Thermostat job)?

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

Am I missing something ? Why don't you put a 1/4 inch extender on a standard T 40 bit?

Is this for the entire thermostat housing or just the neck that the upper radiator hose connects to??

The bulky housing around the T 40 bit won't fit, the space is limited. Try it.

It's technically the cover on the housing. The two bolts you access from putting the bit straight down. To take out the thermostat. Ah I see what you're saying - yes, the neck is what everyone is talking about.

Older car, not clear from the OP exactly what year/model

Standard but works fine on my 1999 V70 T5

I always use the standard bit with an extension without any problem.

I got mine from ebay, a used Snap-On long T40 bit as shown in the previous post. New Snap-On bit is a bit expensive so I looked at ebay.
