My thinking as well. I would be careful trying to dive with these cars.. Even just on the road, there have been issues with water ingress, firewall harness not sealing properly, water leaking on computer modules hard to diagnose. I wouldn't go deeper than 1ft water, even the transmission has a breather pipe that may suck water in.
If it's just for mud play, should be fine
