1999 Volvo V70 XC AWD rear wheel not norking anymore

no noise nothing it just quit working and I am wondering if that coupling failed the front passenger wheel should not turn but both wheels were spinning when I got stuck

The viscous coupler only pertains to the rear wheels. It is mounted on the car directly between the prop shaft and the rear differential.

The right front axle goes through the transfer case but it isn't driven by the transfer case, it is driven directly from the transmission.

There is a splined collar that fits between the transmission and the transfer case that transfers power from the transmission to the transfer case. The right front axle goes through the center of that collar but the right front axle's splines go directly into the transmission itself. Other than providing a seal to keep the transmission fluid from running out of the transmission the transfer case / bevel gear / angle gear, the prop shaft, and the viscous coupler have nothing whatsoever to do with the drive from wheels.

In short, both front wheels are driven directly by the transmission.

Ok Thank for all the help, I will take the car to the mechanic and see what we can do cause here in Mexico I might not be easy to get parts and without the car AWD I can not lunch the boat and go fishing
