1998 V70xc Bluish white smoke when I open up throttle

I am referring to the number of side electrodes, for all plugs there is indeed only one electrode in the center.

The factory NA plugs have three electrodes.

The factory turbo plugs have one electrode.

So if "double platinum" means "single side electrode" then maybe what you have is fine, I was not aware of that terminology.

Good look on the feedback, yeah I use mostly factory parts or European parts like Pro Parts Sweden. The Volvo plugs w/3 side electrodes is what my '96 850GLT has, it was recommended by dealer as per factory.

I gapped my plugs (NGKs, I think) down to .026 from .038, where they were when I first looked at them about a year after buying the car. It made no noticeable difference to performance, mileage, idle, etc.

Not saying there's no point in gapping the plugs correctly, just that it didn't have a huge effect on my car. It's definitely good to have them within spec.

As far as i understand this gap thing...it's more important to turbo cars.

For non turbo it doesn't matter that much.
