Good question! I ran across several pages of quality bearings and consider having new ones pressed in a worthwhile option. My indy has a large press capable of this. Not sure what all involved, but it appears rather straightforward.

Amazon: $153
RockAuto: $119
1A Auto: $180
JC Whitney: $150
Parts-Geek: $135
Stock-wise: Not listed. However they carry the front HA594181 for $91.

I'm still a proponent of the used rear hub bearing idea, I have a couple spares in the garage just waiting for when one finally goes out on me, but to add more to sled's useful collection of sources and prices:

The blue box bearing is cheaper than all of those except RockAuto! It's $133 at Lisle http://volvopartslisle.com/part/OEM-Vol ... 95/Hub-Kit

Or even $150 at FCP https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 0-oe-volvo

I like the used rear hub idea as well. Just have to work out when I can get there and to prep my pull-list. AND see if I can remove the beast-nuts by hand with no power tools.

Lisle is rather amazing! Kudo's to them. If I recall, they sell the 3-piece TB kit for only $123!!! The local dealer wanted ~ $215!!!

I left out OEM BB as I was focused on Timken & SKF hubs. You are indeed correct however: $133 beats three higher prices. Things are in such a state of flux, you just don't know until you do some research. One previously mentioned rose 50-something % in just 2 years??? Whaaaaaat? That's nuts.

One more thing...the ad below is wrong for a '98 rear hub. The photo gives it away and the number doesn't agree with Timken's bearing catalog

Too bad as the price sure is right!
