Don't get me wrong but....if you asked for ECM-1100 at first place you would have correct answer:Garaba wrote:ECM-1100, visually verified as having the wire ripped out when I curbed it sometime in the recent past.

Volvos DO have specific codes and because of that...ECM format codes are 100% correct instead of generic/universal codes in "P" format which can lead you to wrong way.

I don't think the OP had the ECM code until s/he got access to VIDA, just the Pcode which isn't in the P code charts.
I have both in Alldata but there is no cross reference, unfortunately. My AUTEL 800 does give the ECM codes which is neat

I had this happen on my '99 V70 a couple years ago.Garaba wrote:I need some help. Volvo 1999 V70, runs great. But I can not get the sucker to pass emissions, I have a check engine light and the code P1073. I can not find anywhere what that code means at all.
It is also the code that is failing me at emissions. When I clear the code, it will come right back in about 20 seconds.
We had clipped a chunk of tire tread on the Interstate, and it had broken one of the 2 temperature sensors on the front air dam. Replaced it with one from a salvage yard, and we were back in business.
