I do recall making some photos of my work as I was an avid photographer then, always with plenty of film on hand. I do remember it was wild driving like that! That windshield never leaked again though. The very beginnings of my apprenticeship of wrenching on cars.

My brother's Honda had a similar issue, not nearly as bad. Body shop told us only reasonable fix was to let in a new roof. Part was NLS by Honda (and was a $500+ panel). His salvage guy said he could get the panel for $300. We said no thanks. I went to a junkyard (Harry's) with a sawzall and a few blades. $65 later the roof was mine. Body shop drilled out the spot welds and replaced the entire roof. Car's fine now. Unless someone is essentially giving you that car, I'd say it's a walk away based on bodywork alone.
