I put in a Nissens in 2012 and it's been good so far. The one I replaced was also a Nissens, and I noticed the sad looking transmission cooler. I opted to install an aux cooler at the same time, and without any real evidence... I'm pretty convinced it's saved my trans from an early death. I did some towing and many heavy loads through southern summers and western mountain grades without too much drama.

I've opened quite a few over the years and all of them save for one was the brass tube type on both sides.

Anyone run a surface area comparison?
3.14 is a significant multiplier.
And brass does conduct heat pretty well.

Just sayin’.
