P80 lower timing belt cover bolts 974674

No, I did not remove the brake caliper. Plenty of room to get to the crankshaft pulley without doing that.

Ok, if these special bolts hold the timing belt guard around the bottom of the crankcase pulley then I have two standard M7 bolts left over. That may be a better option. Thanks for inputs.

many thanks to all who contributed. They do belong to the timing belt lower cover. I've obviously fitted the cover with standard M7 bolts.

The now-extra M7 bolts may be for the upper, outer plastic timing belt cover, where it screws into the cam cover.

glad you didnt start it up. High probability for interference issues.

Such interference could cause catastrophic failures to an interference engine design!
