Key in door, lock and unlock 5 times.
Last Friday my daughter called me and said her car wouldn't start. Knew it was the immobilizer and the key trick wasn't doing it. Got down there and figured out the door lock actuator wasn't working. Drove all the way back, grabbed a spare and swapped it out in the parking lot.
